Independence Day

Five days ago I saw a movie trailer that got me going. I am so excited for this sequel, I need to make sure everyone knows about the original first. Thats why this week I am bringing you Independence Day.

Independence Day is on my all time favorite movie list. This epic sic-fi gets you going about awesome America is. The way the movie starts out is on July 2,1996, two days before July 4th. But on the 2nd, everything that could go wrong does. A giant 310 mile alien mothership comes to Earth to start an attack. From that mothership it release many 15 mile wide ships all over Americas most dominant buildings in all the most important cities. Thats right an alien movie, but one of the best ever. This amazing plot takes you through the fight the America doesn't back down from. We get to see the President's and military's actions on how to take down the aliens that have come to destroy Earth. The amazing cast of Will Smith (Captain Steven Hiller), Bill Pullman (President Thomas J. Whoitmore), Jeff Goldbug(David Gevinson), and many more take you through an amazing movie that you need to see before the second.

Finally seeing that there is going to be a second movie made me so happy. Ive been waiting ever since I first saw this movie to see a second. I can not wait for this to come out. I think that they will do a great job in continuing the story and Im looking forward to see how America takes the aliens down once again.

The Interview

This week Im dipping into one of everyone favorite genres, comedies. Who doesn't love to laugh? Thats why im highlighting one of the funniest movies I've scene in recent years, The Interview.

Yes, Im talking about the huge controversial one that was almost not released. The plot of the movie is that Dave Skylark, played by James Franco, a host of an a talk show gets an interview with North Korea's notorious leader Kim Jong-un. Dave and friend Aaron Rapoport, played by Seth Rogan, go to North Korea to do this interview. Before they go, the CIA asks them to do their country a favor in killing Kim Jong-un. From there the usual path of a Seth Rogan film takes on and it follows the hilarious plot of them trying to do so.

This Seth Rogen film takes on the usual comedy track with dirty jokes and references but with an interesting plot line. This hilarious film should be seen by those who love these types of films and anyone who needs a good laugh. The jokes, plot, and overall controversy makes it a must see film on the comedy list

Dont answer the door at 4 a.m

This week I want to bring you another horror flick that will makes it on my list as one of the greats.

The Stangers takes place in a small house in a remote after the two main characters of Kristen and James get back from a wedding reception. James feels as if this is the perfect place and moment to ask Kristen to marry him. Kristen rejects him which put a tension between the both of them. Later in the night, around 4 a.m, they hear knock at the door to which they open. At the door is a woman who asks for Tamara. Kristina and James tell her she's at the wrong house and they tell her to go, to which the woman replies, she will see them later. They ignore the odd comment and then James goes out to buy cigarettes.  After James leaves the woman returns and knocks on the door again but Kristen refuses to open it and that is where the horror begins...

The Strangers brings real events that you think could happen into a story that does. The fear that there is someone out there watching, someone standing behind you, the feeling of uneasiness when alone in  the quiet. All the scared feelings you can relate to are in this movie. The reason its so relatable is because its inspired by true events. I think that gives this movie its real fear factor. You will be checking your shoulders repeatedly while watching.
