Wolverines

Now usually movie remakes aren't usually as good as the originals but this one I can fight for. Red Dawn was originally made in 1984 but was remade in 2012 and I am glad they did.

Red Dawn is a movie about us, America. The movie begins like another, highlighting the Eckert family. The family just got reunited with the eldest brother Jed coming home from his military duties in Spokane, Washington. The family of Jed, Matt, the younger brother, and Tom, their father, are all back together. The next morning, Tom gets up and goes to his job of being a police sergeant. Jed and Matt get woken by the loud noises and shaking of the ground. They walk out the front door to see that an air raid is coming down upon their town, hundreds of paratroopers are dropping down from the sky. This raid happens to be the start of an invasion from North Korea on the United States. From there the two brothers and a few others who don't get captured stand by their country and fight for what is theirs. They form the rebel group known as the Wolverines

This movie is one that I could watch again and again. The viewer gets something out of it every time. If you never wanted to fight for your country, you will after this movie. It gets you behind the United States and makes you want to help your country. Not only that but it makes you feel that you can make a difference in your country no matter who you are.

End Of Watch

What happens in the streets of South Central Los Angeles is unknown to most people, but the officers of the LAPD know what really happen. This film takes you through the everyday lives of LAPD partners, Brian Taylor and Miguel Zavala. Taylor gives you a personal perspective through his body camera and personal camera because he is recording their everyday work for a film project.

The plot takes you through the everyday lives of a LAPD officers and you get to see what its like to see it through that eyes of the officer. Its all action packed normal police work until one day an ordinary car stop changes their lives. They stop a gang member and bust him for all the guns and money that he has in his car. This makes Taylor and Zavala the gangs most wanted officers. Putting their lives at risk everyday has never been so true. Doing their everyday jobs has become a life or death situation.

Throughout the plot you really grow to love the partners and really connect with them, their families and their work. The action packed plot keeps you engaged and it takes you through all the emotions you have when a few twists come into play. Overall this is one of the best movies I have seen in recent years. After seeing it, theres no reason it shouldn't be one of your favorites.

The Boogie Man (Rated R read and watch at your own risk)

Be Advised: This movie is rated R and is scary and disturbing, read and watch at your own risk.

Since its October, you know that the scary movies are around the corner. Scary movies are one of my most favorite genres out there. I have seen so many of them I've come to search for the truly scare or disturbing ones. My friends and I get together at least once every weekend to watch a scary movie. Through the outragous amount of scary movies I've seen with them, Sinister still seems to hols my number one spot.
Sinister hits the genre of horror right where it needs to. This movie is scary, disturbing, weird, and hits childhood straight in the gut. From jump scares to truly disturbing scenes you won't be able to get your eyes off the screen even though you want to.

The main antagonist in the movie happens to be Bagul, or what we know as the Boogie man. Although that might not sound terrifying, this movie defiantly makes you afraid. It takes a childhood fear and turns it into a grown up nightmare. This nightmare happens to a family when they move into a house of a previously murdered family. The father Ellison (Ethan Hawke) is a horror book writer and chooses this house for inspiration. From there everything gets worse and more disturbing as the movie goes on.
I will put the link for the trailer here if you would like to watch, but make sure you know that this movie is rated R and is quite disturbing, do watch the movie and trailer at your own risk:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgYxydrVlDk

Flying back to childhood

What does it mean to be Top Gun? It means you are the best pilot out there. This flight school is of the best of the best and Maverick and Goose are the ones who want to claim the title of Top Gun. Reckless flyer Pete "Maverick" Mitchell and his wingman Nick "Goose" Bradshaw are called to be in this competition with all other top pilots in the US to get the title of Top Gun and become the most elite force of dog fighting pilots out there. Maverick and Goose will go through whatever it takes to be the best pilots ever.

This 1986 classic is a movie that all should see. This movie is referenced everywhere and is a classic. The great actors like Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Anthony Edward, Val Kilmer, and many more, you can't go wrong with this movie This has the laughs, the action, the suspense, and just about everything you want in a movie.

I first saw it when I was a young boy myself. My grandfather who was a pilot himself showed me and my brothers this movie and I became addicted to it. It reminds me of him and his stories. This movie brings me back to childhood it is just a great overall movie.
