The Blind Side

As I head into my final week of high school, I start to think how fast it went and how fortunate I am to have the opportunities I had because I know that everybody isn't as fortunate as I am. This got me thinking about one movie that I love and had recently seen again because I happened to be flipping channels on the T.V. That movie is The Blind Side.

The Blind Side is a Sports movie that pulls at all your heart strings and makes you feel grateful for what you have. This movie pulls at all your heart strings. Ive never seen a movie that makes me feel so many different emotions as this one. The story tells of Michael Oher, now a NFL player, coming from a bad start in his life. The movie takes you through his life and how he came to be in the NFL. This movie was done so well, its hard to say what it makes you feel, other than it makes you feel and hard. The emotions this movie gives is like no other and after it I always want to thank people for what they did for me and the sacrifices they made to benefit me.

If you have never seen this movie, you are missing out. If you are to see any movie it would be this one. Its a heart warming movie that makes you fell so many different things. After it maybe you will do what I did and thank everyone for all the sacrifices they made for you.

You don't want to miss this

I will not be watching any movies for a while, unless I can squeeze one in here and there. That is because I don't want to miss what everyone should be watching and that is the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

I am a huge hockey fan and I watch all the games I can during the regular season, but nothing beats the playoffs. Every game is on nationally broadcasted television, so there is no excuse to why you should miss a second of the action. The playoffs in hockey are some of the grittiest, nastiest, most gruesome hockey you can watch. The games are at a different level and intensity and not one game should be missed. The playoffs in hockey are much different than any other sports. 16 teams going head to head in 7 game series is like nothing else. They battle and fight each other, injury's and their mental state's to win sports ultimate trophy the Stanley cup. Theres not much to be said about the playoffs other than you can't miss them. Its unlike anything in sports and there is nothing more intense. I will be taking a break from movies to make sure I don't miss an amazing story that is happening right now in front of me. I hope you will sit down and watch all the games, or even one because you won't regret it.
Games are on NBCSN CNBC and USA, check https://www.nhl.com for game schedule.

Stupid is as stupid does

This weekend I went up to New Hampshire and when I returned back to the hotel from a long day I turned on the tv assuming i would just find some show and fall asleep, but that is not what happened. I found one of if not the greatest movie of all time, Forrest Gump.

Forrest Gump is a classic that can be watched over and over and you should never get bored of it. Forrest Gump teaches life lessons, makes you laugh and cry, and also makes you not want to waste time. Every time i watch Forrest Gump I always feel that i should get up and do something with my life because he wastes no time to do anything. The character and story of Forrest Gump makes you realize that you can do anything you want if you feel like it, and that if you do the things you like, you will be happy. Forrest Gump makes you feel empowered and makes you want to have a fulfilling life.

If you haven't seen this movie, thats a problem. Forrest Gump is not only referenced all over but will be around forever probably even for you kids kids to enjoy. Forrest Gump is one of the greatest movies of all time in my opinion and if you have yet to see it, that needs to change asap.

Keeping the Peace

Another favorite T.V show of mine is flashpoint. I found this show a while ago on Netflix and have been watching it ever since. There are 5 seasons and I am just about finished with it all.

Flashpoint is about an SRU, Strategic Response Unit, that is based within a metropolitan Canadian are, basically Toronto. They respond to all series calls that occur within the city that regular officers are not trained to handle. They take hostage calls, bomb calls, and heavily armed criminals. The difference between them and a regular SWAT team is that they are trained to talk down the victims, they use psychology first then use weapons later if necessary. Flashpoint follows this team through all its hards calls and the stress and problems they encounter. The team of 6 gets the job done and keeps the peace any way they can.

I enjoy this show because of all the action it depicts and it gives a real sense of what happens and what can go wrong in situations. All 5 season are on Netflix and episodes are being ran on TV on ion.

Time for some T.V with Norman Bates

Last week one of the shows I watch finally came back. Bates Motel is one of the best shows i know that out there. A prequel to the movie Physco, it is the early life and events that lead up to the events in the movie. In the fictional town of White Pine Bay, Oregon, Norman Bates and his mother Norma move in to start a new life. They purchased a motel and house and will run it between them. Norman and Norma are inseparable and over the past 3 seasons things have gotten good.

Bates Motel is a drama thriller that gets the job done. Throughout the first three seasons there are things that I never saw coming and it always kept me interested. There are always multiple plot stories going on and questions that need to be answered. Bates Motel is a show that keeps drawing you back in and gets you addicted to the show. Between Norman, Norma, all the other characters, and how everything falls together it is a show I personally love. If you are into a drama thriller that keeps you interested and guessing on whats gunna happen next and you wanna know how the famous Norman Bates got his start, Bates Motel is for you.

Season 4 just started last week and is running every Monday on A&E, and if you missed any they are online. The first three seasons are on Netflix so there is time to catch up.

Incidious(21)

One of my favorite movie duo and soon to be a trio, are the insidious movies. They are a type of horror film that takes its own plot and I like that.

The first insidious movie is about a family of Josh and Renai and their sons Dalton and Foster and their daughter Cali. They all move to a new house and think nothing of it. Shortly after the son Dalton, is ominously called to the attic, there he Class a latter to turn on a light in which he falls and hits his head. The following day Dalton, falls into a coma. They family goes 3 months with no result and are allowed to take Dalton home. Soon there after Foster makes a comment one day that he wants to close his door at night because he doesn't like when Dalton sleepwalks. They find this very odd since Dalton has been in a coma for 3 months. The family soon begins to experience supernatural events in the home which ultimately scare them into a new house. From there the plot gets more interesting and into a different type of horror plot that I have not heard of. For that reason Insidious sits at another level than other horror films.

When insidious 2 came out I was so excited to find out it was a continuation of the first plot with the same cast. I was interested to see how the plot would carry out the first movie and I was more than happy. The writers, at leas I think, wrote these movies at the same time. The second plot fills in holes I didn't even see in the first movie and was very impressed with the way of the plot. I can't give anything away cause it would ruin the other story. Insidious and Insidious 2 are a different type of horror film. The plots are so great the writers did a fantastic job in finding connections in them I didn't even see.

I have yet to see the 3rs Incidious but I am expecting a lot out of it. In not sure if this has anything to do with the other two movie because there is only one character that is the same. It takes on a whole new family. Otherwise I expect a lot from this thord movie, so I'm hoping it's not a disappointment.

American Sniper (#20)

Im going to talk about one of my favorite movies this week and one that many Americans love and support, American Sniper.

American Sniper is another one of those movies that makes you proud to be an American. This is the story of Chris Kyle, who becomes a U.S Navy SEAL sniper. Throughout this movie you follow the story of his life. Chris grows up in Texas and learns to shoot as a kid from his father. From there, Chris takes on a career as a rodeo cowboy. Then, Chris comes home from work one night to find his girlfriend cheating on him and while spending the rest of the night talking about it with his brother he sees the news which is talking about the US 1998 embassy bombings. Chris after seeing the event decides to enlist in the navy. Later Chris qualifies to become Navy seal. From there, Chris is sent over to Iraq after the 9/11 bombings. After Chris is sent over to Iraq you follow his story of war and his homecomings and hardships.
Chris Kyle is an amazing person to go and serve our country the way he did. American Sniper highlights and shows people his amazing life and what is really means to serve this country and become a Navy SEAL. If there is ever a movie that makes you proud to be an American and thankful for the people that serve our country it is American Sniper.
